ARTEX Desktop

A desktop workspace for defensive security

Bring conversations, agent tasks, tool approvals, evidence and reports into one local workspace. ARTEX Desktop rebuilds the ARTEX workflow as a native app to reduce the setup needed to begin testing your own services.

What you can do

Start with a desktop app

The core app runs without a separate Docker, web server or PostgreSQL setup. Choose a workspace and configure an LLM model to get started.

Keep work connected

Manage conversations, tasks, assets, evidence and reports in a local workspace. LLM services, remote MCP servers and web requests connect to the services you configure or access.

Control tool execution

Review tool approvals, follow progress, stop work and inspect results in the desktop interface. Individual tools may require additional software such as Python or Nmap.

Get started

  1. Open GitHub Releases and choose a download for your platform. Follow the release's installation instructions.
  2. Launch the app, open a workspace and configure your LLM model and any required external tools.
  3. Define a test for a service you own or have explicit permission to assess, then review approvals, results and evidence in the workspace.

Current scope

This project is intended for defensive testing of services you own or are explicitly authorized to assess. Check the selected release and setup guide for platform requirements and known limitations.
